Your reference
Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah bus hire, on this page, means a transfer. We collect your group in Dubai and deliver it to one address in Ras Al Khaimah, or the other way round, with the luggage on board and nobody changing vehicles. Wedding guests heading for a resort book it. So do incentive groups, company offsites, families arriving for a holiday, sports teams going to a tournament and delegates moving north for a conference.
Want a full day out with the driver waiting instead? Our Jebel Jais day trip page is the better guide. For weddings, staff routes and groups already in the emirate, see bus rental in Ras Al Khaimah.
Prices depend on the date and group size. Get yours in a minute.
Get my priceIn Dubai we collect from the arrivals halls at Dubai International (DXB) and Dubai World Central (DWC), from hotels in Downtown, Business Bay, Deira, Dubai Marina and on the Palm, and from offices, villas and staff accommodation. Landing at Sharjah International instead? We meet groups there too, and it cuts a good part of the drive.
In Ras Al Khaimah, most of our transfers finish at one of these:
Jebel Jais is another 45 minutes to an hour inland from the coast. Groups staying at a resort usually make it a separate day.
A rough guide outside the rush hour. Friday afternoons northbound and Sunday evenings southbound are the slowest times on this road, and a holiday weekend can add an hour.
| From | To | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|
| DXB Airport | Al Marjan Island | About 1 hour to 1¼ hours |
| Downtown Dubai or Business Bay | Al Hamra | About 1¼ hours |
| Dubai Marina or the Palm | Al Marjan Island | 1½ hours or a little more |
| DWC Airport | Al Marjan Island | 1½ to 1¾ hours |
| Sharjah International (SHJ) | Al Marjan Island | 45 minutes to 1 hour |
| DXB Airport | Ras Al Khaimah city | About 1¼ to 1½ hours |
The usual route is the E311 or the E611 north through Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, and the driver picks one on the day according to the traffic. On the longer runs, a ten-minute comfort stop at a service station is easy to build in.
Plenty of RAK-bound groups start at an airport. We track the flight. The driver meets the group in arrivals with a name board and the vehicle waits until the last passenger is through, then heads straight north. The group leader gets the driver’s details before landing.
When guests arrive on several flights, there are two ways to run it. One vehicle waits and leaves with everyone, or two smaller vehicles each take a wave. Waiting time is a separate line on the quote, so you can compare the two before you confirm. Our airport group transfers page explains the meet-and-greet in more detail.
Resort check-in is usually in the afternoon. A group landing at dawn can reach its hotel hours early and end up sitting in the lobby. Some groups ask the resort about early check-in or luggage storage; others break the journey with breakfast in Dubai first. Tell us the plan and we time the pick-up around it.
For the return, work backwards from the flight. Example: for a 3 p.m. departure from DXB, airlines generally want passengers at the airport about three hours before an international flight. The drive is a little over an hour, and you want a buffer for traffic and loading. So leave Al Marjan Island at about 10:15 a.m. We suggest the time when we quote and confirm it with the group leader the day before.
On a transfer, the luggage picks the vehicle as often as the headcount does. Twelve people with a large case each will not fit in a 13-seater van with their bags. The same twelve with weekend bags will.
| Vehicle | Luggage | Starting price |
|---|---|---|
| Mercedes V-Class, up to 7 | About 6 bags | From AED 900 per day |
| 13-seater HiAce, up to 13 | Rear area, light luggage | From AED 450 per day |
| Sprinter minibus, up to 16 | Rear luggage area | From AED 950 per day |
| 30-seater mini coach, 22 to 30 | Overhead racks | From AED 550 per day |
| 35-seater coach, up to 35 | Under-floor holds | From AED 600 per day |
| 50-seat coach, up to 50 | About one medium case each | From AED 650 per day |
Starting prices are for a full day (up to 10 hours) within Dubai with the driver and fuel. A transfer to Ras Al Khaimah is quoted for the actual route, in writing, with Salik tolls in Dubai included. For reference, the typical market range for a full day from Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah in a 14 to 15 seat van is around AED 700 to 800, and our Jebel Jais day starts from AED 650 per day in a 15-seater van.
When the bags outnumber the space, we either go up a size or add a luggage van that travels with the group. For 20 people with suitcases we would usually send the 35-seater rather than a mini coach plus a van: one vehicle, one arrival.
The biggest factor is the shape of the job. One way, a return on the same day and a return on a later date are each quoted differently. After that come waiting time at the airport or hotel beyond the agreed time, extra stops (a second hotel, a supermarket before a villa stay), a luggage van or second vehicle, and the date, since weekends and holidays between October and April are the busiest.
Fuel, the driver and road tolls are always included. Anything optional is listed before you confirm.
Examples only. Your written quote confirms the price for your date and route.
A transfer up and a transfer back is often all a group needs, because the resort is the programme. When it isn’t, you have two choices. Book a separate day of hire for Jebel Jais, Dhayah Fort or the old pearling village at Al Jazirat Al Hamra. Or keep one vehicle and driver with the group for the whole stay on multi-day hire, which suits busy programmes with something planned every day.
Ras Al Khaimah weddings often have guests in two places, with family at the resort and friends in Dubai hotels. The transfer from Dubai has to arrive with time to spare before the ceremony, so we work the hotel departure back from the start time and add a buffer for the traffic through Sharjah. The return is the part that most often goes wrong when it is left to taxis at 1 a.m. A coach waiting outside after the last dance fixes that.
For shuttles between resort and venue on the day, see wedding bus rental and event shuttles.
Public intercity buses do run between Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah, and for one traveller with a light bag they are good value. They go station to station, though, so a group still has to get itself and its luggage to the bus station in Deira, then find taxis at the far end. Our guide to Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah by bus covers the public service, fares and timings.
Send the date, the pick-up address or flight numbers, the hotel or venue in Ras Al Khaimah, the headcount, the number of large cases and the return date. Use the booking form, email info@emiratesbushire.com or message us on WhatsApp at +971 54 126 1681. You get a written quote, and nothing is charged until you confirm. For weekends between October and April, book two to four weeks ahead.
