Questions, answered.

What group organisers usually ask before booking a bus or coach in Dubai.

Booking basics

How do I know which bus size to book?

Count everyone travelling and add a seat or two. Put the headcount in the message on our booking form and we quote the right size.

What is included in the price?

The vehicle, the driver, fuel and road tolls (Salik in Dubai, Darb on trips into Abu Dhabi). Waiting time, parking and extra hours are shown on the quote before you confirm.

Do you offer monthly staff transport?

Yes. We quote recurring routes per month, with a regular driver and a replacement vehicle when one is in for service.

Do all buses have seat belts?

Yes, every seat on every vehicle we supply.

How far ahead should we book a coach?

At least a week for one-off trips; two to four weeks in peak season (October to April) and for large events with several vehicles.

Can the bus wait for us during the day?

Yes — book half-day (five hours) or full-day (ten hours) hire and the driver waits between stops.

Do you go outside Dubai?

Yes, to every Emirate. Abu Dhabi day trips are among our most popular bookings.

Can we combine different vehicle sizes?

Of course. Mention it in the notes and we’ll quote the combination as one booking.

Choosing a bus size

What is the difference between a minibus and a mini coach?

In Dubai, “minibus” usually means a van-based vehicle such as a Mercedes Sprinter for up to sixteen. A mini coach, like the Toyota Coaster, is a small bus with 22 to 30 seats and a bus-style door.

Can I book a bigger bus than I need for comfort?

Yes. Spare seats help on long drives and with bags. We suggest the smallest vehicle that fits, but you can always choose a size up — the quote shows the difference.

Do you have buses with more than 50 seats?

No. Our largest single vehicle is a 50-seat coach. Bigger groups combine several vehicles in one booking, with staggered departures where needed.

Do you have double-decker or open-top buses?

No. We don’t run double-deckers or open-top buses. For sightseeing, our coaches have large windows and a PA system for a guide.

What if our numbers change after booking?

Tell us as soon as you can. Small changes within the vehicle’s seats need nothing more; larger changes may need a different vehicle, and we send a revised written quote.

Is a van or a minibus better for 12 people?

For twelve people with modest bags, a 13-seater HiAce is enough. If they have airport luggage or a long day ahead, a Sprinter gives more headroom and luggage space. See the bus size guide.

Pricing & quotes

How are one-off trips priced?

Per journey, or per half day or full day when the vehicle stays with you. Each quote is written and lists the vehicle, driver, fuel and Salik tolls.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle. A bus costs much the same to run with twenty-two people as with twenty-six, so we quote the vehicle rather than the seats.

Do you charge for waiting time?

Waiting time is shown on the quote before you confirm. On half-day and full-day hire, waiting between stops is part of the booking.

Are parking charges included?

Parking charges, where they apply, are shown on the quote before you confirm, along with waiting time and any extra hours.

Can you quote several trips in one document?

Yes. Event programmes, term calendars and multi-day trips can be quoted together, with each journey listed separately so you can approve them at once.

Is anything charged when I request a quote?

No. Requesting a quote is free, and nothing is charged until you confirm the booking by replying to our written quote.

Staff transport contracts

Can we start with one route and add more later?

Yes. Many clients start with a single route and add others once it runs well. Each route is priced per month.

Can staff routes run on weekends?

Yes, if your teams work weekends. The contract lists the working days, so weekend and holiday runs are planned and priced in advance.

What happens to staff routes during Ramadan?

Working hours change, so we re-time routes for the month. Send the Ramadan timetable as soon as your company confirms it.

Can one route serve more than one site?

Yes. A route can drop at several sites in turn, or we can split the group across vehicles so each site gets a direct run.

How are drivers assigned to staff routes?

Each route gets a regular driver where possible, so they learn the stops and the passengers. Relief drivers covering days off are briefed on the route first.

Can we change the vehicle size during a contract?

Yes. If the headcount grows or shrinks, we can switch to a larger or smaller vehicle, confirmed in writing with the new monthly price.

School & university trips

Do teachers count towards the bus capacity?

Yes — every adult needs a belted seat, so include all staff and helpers in the headcount. The price is per vehicle, not per person.

Can parents join a school trip bus?

If the school allows it, yes, as long as there are enough belted seats. Include parent helpers in the headcount when you book.

Can you take students to the Museum of the Future or the Dubai Frame?

Yes. Both are popular school visits. We drop at the venue’s coach drop-off point and return at the agreed time, or wait on half-day hire.

Can we book a coach for a two-day field trip?

Yes. Multi-day hire keeps the same vehicle and driver with your group. Tell us the overnight location and daily programme, and we set out the arrangements and costs in the written quote.

Do you provide transport for graduation day?

Yes. Graduation ceremonies and celebrations often need shuttles for students and families between campus, the venue and a dinner. We plan the timings with the organiser.

Can a school book a bus at short notice?

Sometimes. Outside peak season we can often help within a few days; between October and April, short-notice availability is harder, so contact us as early as possible.

Events & weddings

Can guests board at different times from the same hotel?

Yes. We can run several departures from one hotel — for example an early group for the ceremony and a later one for the reception.

Do you provide group transport for concerts?

Yes — group trips to concerts and shows at venues such as the Coca-Cola Arena and Expo City. We follow the venue’s coach arrangements and agree a meeting point for the return.

Can you run a shuttle for a private party?

Yes. Birthdays, anniversaries and company celebrations often need a shuttle from a hotel or meeting point to the venue and back.

Can you provide an on-site coordinator for a large event?

For multi-coach events, yes — an on-site coordinator manages departures, waves and late changes, and stays in touch with your planner.

Can you collect wedding guests from several villas?

Yes. Smaller vehicles suit villa pick-ups in communities with tight roads; we confirm access for each address in advance and agree a pick-up order with your planner.

Do you handle transport for iftar gatherings?

Yes. Iftar gatherings need guests to arrive before sunset, when traffic is at its heaviest. We plan earlier departures and agree a return time after the meal.

Tours & day trips

Which day trips from Dubai work best by bus?

Hatta, Jebel Jais, the east coast and Abu Dhabi are the most popular. Each works as a full day with the driver waiting; see our routes page.

Can we see Dubai’s sights in a half day?

Yes. A five-hour half day covers Old Dubai — Al Fahidi, the abra and the souks — or Downtown and the Dubai Frame. For both, book a full day.

Can you take us to a desert camp for the evening?

Yes, to camps along the Al Qudra and Al Awir roads. We drop at the camp or its meeting point, wait if you book waiting hire, and bring everyone back after dinner.

How much time does a full day leave in Abu Dhabi?

With around three to four hours of driving, a ten-hour day leaves roughly six hours in Abu Dhabi — enough for two main stops and lunch.

Can we do a multi-day tour of the Emirates?

Yes. Multi-day hire keeps one vehicle and driver with your group across several Emirates. Send the itinerary and we will quote it day by day.

What is the best season for group day trips?

October to April, when temperatures suit outdoor stops. Summer trips are possible with early starts, shorter programmes and indoor attractions.

Drivers & safety

Are your coach drivers licensed for heavy vehicles?

Yes. Our coach drivers hold heavy-vehicle licences, and every driver is experienced with the class of vehicle they drive, from vans to 50-seat coaches.

Do drivers plan the route in advance?

Yes. Drivers plan the route before the day, including drop-off points and parking, and recurring routes have regular drivers who know them well.

How do I contact the driver on the day?

The organiser receives the driver’s details before the trip. On the day, the driver and our team send live updates to the organiser.

Are vehicles cleaned between trips?

Yes. Every vehicle is cleaned between trips, and the air-conditioning is checked before each journey, so the group boards a clean, cool vehicle every time.

What happens if a driver is ill on the day?

We arrange a replacement driver as quickly as possible, brief them on your trip and route, and keep the organiser informed until the new driver arrives.

Can we ask the driver to speed up if we are running late?

No. Drivers keep to speed limits and drive steadily, especially with a full vehicle. We build buffers into pick-up times so you rarely need to; if you are late, call the venue ahead.

Luggage & accessibility

How do I know if our luggage will fit?

Tell us the number of large cases, carry-ons and bulky items. Coaches take about one medium suitcase per passenger; vans and mini coaches take less, and we suggest a luggage vehicle when needed.

Can you carry wheelchairs?

Folding wheelchairs can travel in luggage areas or holds. Passengers who need to stay in their wheelchair require an accessible vehicle; tell us early and we will confirm what we can arrange.

Which vehicles are easiest for older passengers?

The V-Class with its sliding doors and the Sprinter with standing headroom are among the easiest to board. Mention less mobile passengers and we will suggest the vehicle and the closest drop-off points.

Can we bring pushchairs and prams?

Yes — count them as luggage when you book. Folded pushchairs travel in the luggage area or the holds, and the driver will help load them.

Can we carry boxes or event materials?

Small amounts can travel with the group. For exhibition stands or large quantities of materials, a separate goods vehicle is usually needed; we transport passengers and their luggage.

Can we leave bags on the bus while we sightsee?

On full or half-day hire, bags can stay on board or in the holds while the driver waits. Keep valuables with you.

Changes & cancellations

Can I change the pick-up time after booking?

Yes, subject to availability. Tell us as early as possible — by email or by replying to your quote — and we confirm every change in writing.

How do I cancel a booking?

Email info@emiratesbushire.com with your booking reference as soon as you know. Ask about cancellation terms when you receive your quote, so they are clear before you confirm.

Can we add a stop on the day?

Often, if it fits the route and the hours booked. Ask the driver or call us; if the extra stop runs beyond your booking, the additional time is charged at the rate on your quote.

Can we extend the hire on the day?

Usually, if the driver and vehicle are free. Contact us or ask the driver; extra hours are charged at the rate shown on your quote.

What if bad weather affects our trip?

In rare cases of heavy rain, fog or official weather warnings, we may delay or re-route for safety, and we will talk you through the options.
