13-Seater Van
The staff-transport workhorse — thirteen seats, daily or monthly.
- Up to 13 guests
- 10 bags
- Toyota HiAce
Most “15-seater vans” in Dubai are high-roof HiAces with fourteen passenger seats. For fourteen to sixteen people we send a Mercedes Sprinter instead — more headroom, more luggage space, one driver.

In Dubai’s rental market, a 15 seater van usually means a high-roof Toyota HiAce: fifteen seats including the driver, so fourteen for passengers. We don’t run that layout. Our 13-seater HiAce takes up to thirteen passengers, and for fourteen, fifteen or sixteen we send a Mercedes Sprinter minibus, which seats up to sixteen with the driver in a seat of their own.
In practice the Sprinter is the more comfortable answer anyway. It has standing headroom, so people reach the back row without stooping, plus individual air vents, reclining seats and a proper rear luggage area. On a long day — a Hatta trip, a full day of site visits or an evening at Global Village — that matters more than one extra seat.
Count everyone, including tour leaders, teachers, photographers and the person who “might come along”. If you are exactly sixteen with airport luggage, a Sprinter will be tight; we would suggest a mini coach or a separate luggage vehicle, and we will say so before you book rather than on the kerb at arrivals.
A van-sized vehicle is also the right tool where a bus is awkward: narrow streets around Al Fahidi and Deira, villa roads in Jumeirah, and hotel driveways that weren’t designed for coaches.
The Sprinter’s rear luggage area takes up to twelve medium suitcases. For a full minibus of airport passengers with a large case each, that may not be enough — we ask about bags when we quote and suggest a luggage van or a bigger vehicle if needed. Golf bags, prams and sports kit all count as luggage, so mention them in the notes.
Every seat has a seat belt and the air-conditioning is checked before the trip. If you are travelling with young children, tell us their ages when you book and we will confirm the seating arrangements for your journey.
For journeys outside Dubai — Hatta, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah — the Sprinter’s reclining seats and individual vents make a noticeable difference by the second hour of the drive. On long routes, plan a comfort stop; the driver will suggest a sensible place on the way.
Groups of fourteen sometimes ask whether two SUVs or two V-Class vans would be better. Two vehicles give flexibility if the group splits during the day, but they need two drivers, two parking spaces and two sets of timings — and half the group always arrives first. One Sprinter keeps briefings, conversation and head counts in one place.
If part of your group does need to peel off — an executive heading to a meeting while the team carries on — add an executive car or a V-Class to the same booking and it will run on the same timetable.
Request a quote through the booking form with the headcount, luggage, pick-up and drop-off points and timings. The written quote includes the vehicle, driver, fuel and Salik tolls, with waiting time, parking and extra hours listed before you confirm. One-off trips are quoted per journey or per day; recurring routes are quoted per month, with a replacement vehicle if one is in for service.
Plan at least a week ahead for one-off trips, and longer for weekends between October and April, when small-group vehicles are in heavy demand for airport arrivals and day trips. If your day includes several stops, list them in the notes — the driver plans the route and parking at each one before the day.

For fourteen to sixteen passengers it is a Mercedes Sprinter. We don’t run the 15-seat high-roof HiAce layout; our HiAce takes thirteen passengers. If your group is thirteen or fewer, the HiAce is usually the more economical option and we will offer it on the quote.
Fifteen adults fit comfortably in the Sprinter. Luggage is the limit: the rear area takes up to twelve medium suitcases. For airport runs with fifteen large cases, we would add a small luggage vehicle or suggest a mini coach, and show both options on the quote.
Yes. The Sprinter has a high roof with standing headroom, which makes boarding and reaching the back seats much easier than in a standard van. It is one of the main reasons groups choose it for long days out and airport runs.
No. Every Saffron Coaches vehicle comes with an experienced driver; we don’t offer self-drive. The driver, fuel and Salik tolls are included in the written quote, and anything optional is listed separately before you confirm.
Yes. The Sprinter is comfortable on long roads and mountain routes. Book a full day (ten hours) so the driver waits at each stop. Our Hatta and Jebel Jais pages show typical timings for each trip.
Yes. Monthly staff routes get a fixed schedule, a regular driver where possible and a replacement vehicle when the van is in for service. Send us the stops and shift times and we will confirm whether one Sprinter covers it or a mix of vehicles works better.
A week is usually enough outside the cooler months. From October to April, weekend dates go quickly, so two to four weeks ahead is safer — especially for airport arrivals that need a fixed vehicle at a fixed time.
