Ajman is the smallest of the seven emirates, set between Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain, and many of the people who live there work in Sharjah or Dubai. Bus rental in Ajman with a driver takes the daily border crossing off your hands: you tell us the headcount, the pick-up points and the timings, and we send a written quote for the right-sized vehicle with an experienced driver, fuel and road tolls included.
We collect from anywhere in Ajman: Al Nuaimiya, Al Rashidiya, Al Jurf, Al Mowaihat, Al Rawda, Al Hamidiya, Al Zahra, Al Tallah, Al Helio, Al Yasmeen, Emirates City and Al Zorah, the Corniche hotels, the Ajman Free Zone and the industrial areas. Emirates Bus Hire is based on Al Muraqqabat Street, Dubai, and our vehicles run across all seven emirates.
Every vehicle comes with a driver – we don’t offer self-drive – and every seat has a seat belt. Air-conditioning is checked before each trip, and coach drivers hold heavy-vehicle licences.
Prices depend on the date and group size. Get yours in a minute.
Get my pricePick the smallest vehicle that seats everyone at the busiest moment of the trip, with a seat or two to spare, then check the luggage. For Ajman bookings that usually means:
Starting prices run from AED 450 per day for the 13-seater van to AED 650 per day for the 50-seat coach – a full day of up to 10 hours within Dubai, with driver and fuel. A trip that starts in Ajman is quoted for its actual route, and the written quote confirms the price for your date. Our price guide lists every vehicle with the typical market range.
Bigger groups combine vehicles in one booking. Some older streets in central Ajman and Al Nuaimiya are tight for full-size coaches, so we will suggest a smaller vehicle or a nearby pick-up point where needed.
Most requests for van rental in Ajman come from small teams, families and crews who need seven to sixteen seats rather than a full bus. We supply three kinds of van, all with a driver: the Mercedes V-Class for up to seven with luggage, the Toyota HiAce for up to thirteen, and the Mercedes Sprinter for up to sixteen.
The HiAce is the economical choice for daily crew runs and short hops, from AED 450 per day. The Sprinter, from AED 950 per day, is the comfortable one for airport arrivals, wedding families and long days to Hatta or Ras Al Khaimah. For a small group with a lot of bags, the V-Class or the Sprinter has more luggage room per passenger than the HiAce.
A rough guide from central Ajman, outside the rush hour. The Ajman–Sharjah border and the roads into Dubai are slow in both peaks, so we always set the pick-up time from the real timetable.
| Destination | Typical drive time |
|---|---|
| Sharjah city centre | 20–30 minutes |
| Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) | About 25 minutes |
| Umm Al Quwain | 20–30 minutes |
| Deira and Dubai International (DXB) | 40 minutes to 1 hour |
| Downtown Dubai and Business Bay | 50–70 minutes |
| Ras Al Khaimah city | About 1 hour |
| Abu Dhabi city | About 2 hours |
Long days out – Abu Dhabi, Hatta or the east coast – are booked as full-day hire, so the driving time never squeezes the programme.
The morning run out of Ajman is slow, whichever road you choose. A monthly staff route takes the uncertainty out of it: a fixed pick-up at agreed points in Al Nuaimiya, Al Rashidiya, Al Jurf or the industrial areas, a regular driver and a fixed arrival time at the workplace.
For routes into Dubai, Ajman adds distance and time, especially from Al Jurf or Al Zahra. For small teams, one vehicle can collect in Ajman and then Sharjah on its way in; for larger teams, a separate vehicle from Ajman usually keeps everyone’s journey reasonable. We show both options on the quote. For reference, a daily Sharjah–Dubai return run in a 12–15 seat van starts from AED 4,800 per month; a route that starts in Ajman is quoted for its extra distance. See Sharjah to Dubai staff transport.
Crew shuttles inside the emirate, between accommodation and the Ajman Free Zone or the industrial areas, work the same way. Every vehicle is air-conditioned, every passenger has a belted seat, and contract routes come with a replacement vehicle if the regular one is in for service. Monthly contracts start at one month; short projects can be covered by the week. See staff transport.
The Ajman Free Zone and the industrial areas start early, and many crews live in shared accommodation a short drive away. A crew route there is about the basics done every day: a belted seat for every passenger, a vehicle that is already cool when the crew boards and a driver who knows which gate to use. Drivers are briefed on each site’s gate arrangements and where buses may wait.
From mid-June to mid-September, outdoor work stops in the middle of the day under the national midday break, and many contractors add a trip back to accommodation. Send the summer timetable and we re-plan the route for those months, confirming any change in price in writing. We don’t run non-AC or high-density labour buses; see labour transport for how crew routes work.
Al Jurf is home to Ajman University and Gulf Medical University, and their departments book coaches for field trips, conferences and graduation days, while student societies head out to Hatta, Jebel Jais and Abu Dhabi. Schools across Al Rawda, Al Mowaihat and Al Nuaimiya book mini coaches for museum visits and sports fixtures.
Every seat has a seat belt, drivers are briefed on the school’s pick-up procedure and the trip lead receives the driver’s details the day before. Tell us the number of students and supervising adults separately when you book. Our school trip transport guide covers the planning in more detail.
Ajman’s beachfront hotels along the Corniche and at Al Zorah host weddings and family celebrations, with guests coming from Dubai, Sharjah and further afield. We run guest shuttles from each hotel to the venue and back, timed to the programme, with a late return so nobody has to look for a taxi at midnight.
For a family group of up to sixteen, a Sprinter keeps everyone together; for a larger guest list, a mix of mini coaches and coaches sized to each hotel works best. See wedding bus rental for how we plan guest transport.
Sharjah International is the nearest airport to Ajman, usually around 25 minutes away, and Dubai International is typically 40 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic through Sharjah. We collect from homes, hotels and offices in Ajman and drive straight to either airport – or to DWC – with luggage space matched to the group.
For arrivals, the group leader receives the driver’s details before landing, we track the flight and the driver meets the group in the arrivals hall. See Sharjah Airport transfers and airport group transfers.
Ajman is a good base for day trips in the north and east. Ras Al Khaimah and Jebel Jais are a straightforward run up the E311 – see bus rental in Ras Al Khaimah – and the east coast is closer than it looks on the map. Ajman’s own mountain enclave, Masfout, sits in the Hajar Mountains near Hatta and pairs well with a Hatta day.
Day trips are booked as full-day hire – ten hours, with the driver waiting at every stop.
Umm Al Quwain is Ajman’s quieter neighbour to the north, and many groups there have the same needs: staff routes south into Sharjah and Dubai, school trips and family outings. We collect in Umm Al Quwain on the same terms, quoted for the actual route.
Community groups, mosques and extended families in Ajman book transport for Eid outings, iftar gatherings and visits from relatives abroad. For iftar, we plan the outbound trip to arrive before sunset, when the roads are at their busiest, and agree a return time after the meal. If anyone in the group has limited mobility, tell us when you book: the V-Class and the Sprinter are the easiest vehicles to board, and folding wheelchairs travel in the luggage area.
Most routes out of Ajman use one of three corridors: the coastal roads through Sharjah towards Al Ittihad Road, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) inland, or Emirates Road (E611) further east. Which one is quickest depends on the time of day and where you are going, and the border between Ajman and Sharjah is a pinch point in both peaks. Our drivers plan the route before the day and we build a buffer into the pick-up time.
Give us the exact building, gate or landmark for each pick-up – especially in Al Nuaimiya and Al Rashidiya, where many towers look alike. A precise pin saves the first ten minutes of every trip.
You hire the whole vehicle and its driver, never a price per seat. One-off trips are quoted per journey, per half day (five hours) or per full day (ten hours); recurring routes are quoted per month. Every written quote includes the vehicle, the driver, fuel and road tolls, with waiting time, parking and extra hours listed before you confirm. Nothing is charged until you reply to confirm.
Request a quote through the booking form, by email to info@emiratesbushire.com or on WhatsApp at +971 54 126 1681. Allow at least a week for one-off trips and two to four weeks between October and April. Groups starting just across the border may also find bus rental in Sharjah useful.

Yes – a Mercedes V-Class for up to seven, a Toyota HiAce for up to thirteen and a Mercedes Sprinter for up to sixteen, each with a driver. We don’t offer self-drive vans.
From our starting prices, a 30-seat mini coach (from AED 550 per day) costs less than a 16-seat Sprinter (from AED 950 per day). If the access and luggage allow, the mini coach is the economical choice; for airport runs and narrow streets, the Sprinter is often easier.
