Why groups hire a bus to Global Village

Global Village is an evening outing: the gates open in the late afternoon, the pavilions and food stalls come alive after dark, and most groups leave late. That is exactly when finding taxis for thirty people is hardest. Global Village bus hire gives your group one pick-up point, one agreed meeting time for the return and a driver who knows where the coach drop-off is.

We take school groups, staff outings, residents’ associations, community groups and extended families, in anything from a 13-seater van to a 50-seat coach.

Planning the evening

  • Pick-up: one central point works best — a school gate, an office car park or a hotel lobby
  • Journey: Global Village is on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) in Dubailand, so allow extra time on weekend evenings, when traffic towards the gates builds up
  • Meeting point: agree a fixed landmark inside the park and a return time, and share both with everyone before you arrive
  • Return: we can drop at one point or several, planned in advance

Weekends and public holidays are the busiest nights. If your group is flexible, a weekday visit usually means a quicker drive in, a shorter walk from the drop-off and an easier departure at the end of the night.

Return trip or waiting hire?

For most groups, the driver drops off, leaves and returns at the agreed time — that is a return trip. If you would rather the vehicle stayed close by, for example with young children or older relatives who may want to leave early, book half-day hire (five hours) and the driver waits for you. Both options are shown on the written quote, with fuel, Salik tolls and the driver included.

Whichever you choose, tell everyone the return time twice: once on the bus on the way in and once in a message before you arrive. One latecomer can hold up fifty people, and a clear time is the simplest fix.

School and staff outings

Global Village is a popular reward trip for school classes and a relaxed staff evening for companies. For schools, every seat has a seat belt and the trip lead receives the driver’s details the day before; tell us the ratio of children to supervising adults when you book. For staff outings, we can collect from several sites — an office in Business Bay and a warehouse in Al Quoz, say — and bring everyone together at the gate.

For bigger groups, combine vehicles: two 50-seaters for a year group, or a coach and a van for a department with a few late joiners.

Families, communities and visiting relatives

Global Village is a favourite outing for visiting family, and a private van or mini coach is often easier than two or three cars when grandparents and young children are in the group. The driver uses the designated coach area, the vehicle is cool when you come back, and nobody has to hunt for a parking space on a busy weekend. Pushchairs and folding wheelchairs travel in the luggage area — mention them when you book so we can confirm space.

Community groups and residents’ associations often combine a Global Village evening with a dinner elsewhere. On half-day or full-day hire, the same driver takes the group on to the next stop and home again.

Pick-ups from Sharjah, Ajman and across Dubai

Many Global Village groups come from Sharjah and Ajman, a straightforward run down the E311. We collect from anywhere in Dubai and the northern Emirates; see bus rental in Sharjah and Ajman for how out-of-Dubai pick-ups work. Groups from Dubai Marina, JLT or Jebel Ali should allow a little longer for the drive across town.

Season and booking

The Global Village season usually runs from October to May, and the cooler months are also the busiest for group transport across Dubai. Book at least a week ahead for weekday visits and two to four weeks ahead for weekends and public holidays. Send the date, headcount and pick-up point through the booking form and we will reply with a written quote.

Questions

Frequently asked.

How long is the drive to Global Village?

Roughly thirty to forty-five minutes from central Dubai, depending on where you start and the time of day. Weekend evenings add time near the gates. We set the pick-up time with a buffer so the whole group arrives together.

Does the bus wait at Global Village?

It can. Book half-day hire and the driver stays nearby for up to five hours. If you book a return trip instead, the driver leaves after drop-off and comes back for your agreed departure time. Both options appear on the quote, so you can compare them.

Where does the bus drop off at Global Village?

Our drivers use the coach and bus drop-off arrangements the venue sets, which can change during the season. We confirm the current point before your visit and give the group leader a clear meeting place for the return journey.

Can a school book a bus to Global Village?

Yes. Every seat has a seat belt, the trip lead receives the driver’s details the day before, and drivers follow the school’s pick-up procedure. Tell us the number of children and supervising adults so we size the vehicle correctly.

What if some of our group want to leave early?

Plan for it. With waiting hire, the driver can take an early group home and come back, or you can add a smaller vehicle for an early departure. Mention it when booking and we will show the options and costs on the quote.

Is Global Village open all year?

No. It runs as a seasonal attraction, usually from October to May, and closes over the hottest months. Check the official dates and opening hours for the current season before you book transport, as they are announced each year.
