Five airports, five northern emirates and a lot of guesswork in between. Here is what a group transfer costs from each airport, what changes the price, and when a taxi is still the better answer.

A group airport transfer in the UAE is priced per vehicle, one way. Our published one-way fare is from AED 550 for a 14-seater van from Dubai to Fujairah, with driver and fuel included; other airport runs are quoted per journey. For a single car, typical market prices run from AED 120 to 220 between Dubai and Sharjah Airport up to AED 300 to 600 between Dubai and Abu Dhabi airport.
Every figure below is labelled. Ours come from our published prices. Market ranges are what mainstream operators were charging when we checked in October 2026. Taxi figures are rough estimates, not an official tariff.

Get a quote| Route | Vehicle | Typical market range | Our price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dubai to or from Sharjah Airport | Car | AED 120 to 220 | Quoted per journey |
| Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah | Car | AED 350 to 475 | Quoted per journey |
| Dubai to Fujairah | Car | AED 320 to 475 | Quoted per journey |
| Dubai to Fujairah | 14-seater van | AED 600 to 850 | From AED 550 |
| Dubai to Abu Dhabi airport | Car | AED 300 to 600 | Quoted per journey |
| Abu Dhabi airport to Dubai | Car | AED 300 to 475 | Quoted per journey |
Two things stand out. A car to Ras Al Khaimah or Fujairah costs roughly the same, because both are long runs out of Dubai. And on the one route where we can compare like for like, a whole 14-seater van costs about what one and a half cars would.
Price follows distance and time, so this is the table to read first. Times are rough, for normal traffic.
| Airport | To Sharjah or Ajman | To Ras Al Khaimah | To Fujairah |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sharjah (SHJ) | 20 to 30 min | About 1 hr | About 1 hr 30 min |
| Dubai International (DXB) | 20 to 50 min | About 1 hr 15 min | About 1 hr 45 min |
| Dubai World Central (DWC) | About 1 hr 15 min | About 1 hr 45 min | About 2 hr |
| Abu Dhabi (AUH) | About 2 hr | About 2 hr 45 min | About 3 hr |
| Ras Al Khaimah (RKT) | About 1 hr | 15 to 30 min | About 1 hr 30 min |
Morning traffic between Sharjah and Dubai can add a lot to the DXB and SHJ times. We set pick-ups from the landing time and the time of day, not from a map.
If you have a choice of flights, the airport matters more than the operator. For Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, Sharjah International is the closest by a distance. For Ras Al Khaimah resorts, the small RAK airport is minutes away, but most groups still land at DXB or SHJ because that is where the flights are. For Fujairah, DXB and SHJ are about the same, so pick the better flight.
Landing at Abu Dhabi and staying in the north is the expensive combination. Three hours in a vehicle is a long transfer after a long flight, and it costs accordingly. Groups sometimes do it for a cheaper fare; check that the saving on the ticket survives the road.
A luggage problem is the one people forget. Groups carry more than they think, and a van that fits twelve people may not fit twelve people and twenty suitcases. Tell us the number of large bags and we size the vehicle for both.
From Sharjah Airport, our rough estimates for one taxi are around AED 40 to 60 to Al Majaz and AED 50 to 70 to Ajman. For one to three people, that is hard to beat, and our Sharjah Airport taxi guide has the full table.
For longer trips the meter does the damage. From Abu Dhabi airport to Sharjah or Ajman, or from Dubai Airport to Ras Al Khaimah or Fujairah, a single taxi runs to several hundred dirhams, and a group needs several of them. From Ras Al Khaimah airport to the resorts the trip is short, and a taxi is fine for a couple.
Example: a couple landing at Sharjah, staying in Al Majaz. Take a taxi, around AED 40 to 60.
Example: a family of six landing at DXB for a resort in Ras Al Khaimah. Two cars at the typical market range would cost AED 700 to 950 together. One 7-seater van takes everyone and the bags in one go; ask for the quote and compare.
Example: twelve divers landing at DXB for a week in Fujairah. Our 14-seater van from AED 550 one way works out at under AED 46 each, with room for kit bags.
Example: forty wedding guests landing at Abu Dhabi, staying in Sharjah. Ten taxis on a two-hour meter is not a plan. One 50-seater coach with luggage holds, quoted per journey, is.
Send the flight number, landing time, airport, headcount, number of large bags and the drop-off address or addresses. We reply with a written price for the vehicle, one way or return, with driver, fuel and tolls included. We track the flight, and the driver meets the group in arrivals with a name board.
For more detail by airport, see Sharjah Airport transfers and airport group transfers from DXB and DWC. Resort runs to the north are on Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah, and the east coast on Dubai to Fujairah. Ready to book? Use the booking form and choose “Airport group transfer”.

Quick answers for this trip.
It depends on the airport, the destination and the vehicle. For a car, typical market prices run from AED 120 to 220 between Dubai and Sharjah Airport to AED 300 to 600 between Dubai and Abu Dhabi airport. Our 14-seater van from Dubai to Fujairah starts from AED 550 one way.
Not by us. We price the whole vehicle, one way or return, so the cost per person falls as the group grows.
It is a metered trip of around two hours, so several hundred dirhams per car. A group needs several cars, which is where a van or coach makes sense.
To the city and the resorts on Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra it is a short trip, usually 15 to 30 minutes. Taxis are metered; for a couple, take one.
Sharjah International. Ajman is around 20 to 30 minutes away and Umm Al Quwain a little further.
Tolls on the route are included. We track the flight; waiting well beyond the booked time and airport parking are listed on the quote before you confirm.
